Watts plans to add up to 400 employees, mostly on Guam
Watts Constructors intends to hire up to 400 employees — mostly on Guam — by the end of the year, doubling the fast-growing Honolulu-based construction company’s work force to 800 full-time staff members as it takes advantage of the multibillion-dollar market for U.S. military work on Guam.
The company already has begun hiring people and will ramp up the process until the first quarter of next year, which, according to President Denny Watts, includes the types of jobs found on military bases.
Although Watts admits next year will be a tough one for federal contractors
